New poster but I have found lots of good info on your site. So this will sound like a dumb question but I have an ARB bumper and some KCs to install. I really don't want to drill. There are two holes in just the right places but they are about 3/4 inch and the KC bolts are about 1/4 to 0.3 inch. Will it be sturdy enough if I use a wife washer underneath with the lock washer too?

I am not sure about a wife washer...but a wide one should work. I think I have seen some at the Ace hardware that would do that job well.

Wife washer... I'll just handle that part. Glad I didn't try to type LARGE wide washer. It coming out "large wife washer" would have gotten me in trouble at home.

Sounds like you just need a fender washer! That oughta do the trick without being able to see it visually. I'd love to see pics if you go through with it!

    Well it's not a new Tacoma. It's a 1992 DLX Extra Cab with a total of 91K miles. 22RE.

Well TaylorU, my father had a Jeep, his friend had the Toyota. They swapped in about 1999. Dad only drove it to the woods or to fish and living where he did, those trips were less than 5miles. Lost my dad on 2008 and now the truck is mine. It is solid, it has a few dings and scratches... it was never a pavement queen. Since my dad had it then me, it has had a clutch done. That's it. Oh, I wound up putting a 3/8s x 2 inch fender washer under the bumper and an inch and a quarter on top between the light base and the top of the bumper. That made me feel better since the hole was too big.

Wow, what an awesome rig with a lot of good history to it. Hang onto it and keep using it as your dad would have!
