It's not just having power pulling, it's controlling the weight behind you. It's gonna make you sway, and stopping sucks. If you tow alot and its a heavy load, just get the right tool for the job

There's more that goes into (safely) towing than just power output, I wouldn't go the s/c route to justify towing over the factory limits...better to get the right rig for the job.

The s/c oil is hard to get in CA because it's illegal to ship here for some reason. I found it at a local Chevy dealership parts dept. though

The Toyota kit is part number PTR29-35073. Comes with:

    Pre-measured oil in pour bottle
    Inlet O-ring
    Lid O-ring
    Torsion Coupler
    Fill plug
Loctite 515 Flange Sealant. Don't use RTV or any type of silicone sealant if you don't buy the kit.
Detailed instructions with photos like the one that comes with the SC.

I bought the kit from Toyota of Dallas.

Lol......its for a M90 Easton s/c.........which what you'll need for what you have. Or you can source the "Toyota" one and probably pay more than double.

One thing that puzzles me, and I'm sure there is a reason why, is why don't these shops use cheap available tech and some technical know how to build their own ECUs. Yes, I get it that the speed shops know their shit and that's why they exist but, still, we aren't talking about the meanest computer in the world here. One would think a Raspberry Pi with some custom firmware and a chipset to get it to talk to the ECU would be possible.

Anyways just spitballing for fun. I do get that speedshops get paid big dollars for a reason and that everyday guys can't build piggyback engine management with some parts from the computer store but with the way the world is now and 12 year olds hacking their way into the CIA you'd think someone would be interested in building the firmware/software/hardware from readily available parts necessary to run a Tacoma without waiting Eons for some parts from China.

you guys get a buzzing noise when it cold and accel kinda hard? something in my exhaust does and once it runs for a few or a good pull its gone till it cools down. i think it the slip joint in the urd or a baffle in the trd cat back
