Nah screw the safari, I paid $150 shipped for my snorkel. Much better than any snorkel GB. I saw @jubei777 was going in for it. I'd say get this one, save $200 and it's barely any different modification to get it to work correctly. But that's just my opinion

I know lol. But I like how it doesn't go down the fender. But yours still looks good. Is there a gap at all on yours?

That's true, but compared to 2nd gens it's a lot better. All there options are huge af. Yeah I can get my pinky in it but it's worth the $200+ savings

Snorkel FTW! I like the design of it going down the fender better than the ARB style anyway, so it's a win-win for me.

I was drinking so that helped, shotgunned a beer and waited 10 minutes then went to town. But of course I had already drilled 10 holes in my roof....

Me too, I think it looks better that way

    Stuff. Also things.
I've always liked the look of the ARB snorkel better than the Wotefusi. But it's damn sure hard to beat that price!

Thankfully, work has been ridiculous again lately, and I can spend the extra monies with a clear conscience and get what I like!

Your truck is looking GOOD, by the way, Josh!

Well I was going to wait to update this but keep forgetting to snag pics so I'll post another time.

Installed my snorkel that I bought from Amazon:

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F926L5W/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    And I followed this write-up:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/hilux-167-snorkel-for-3-4l-tacoma.374598/

No issues really, I used some Copper wire that I wrapped in a spiral so the tube won't collapse on itself. So far it's been great, only issue's I've had was some check engine lights but I reset it with my ultragauge and haven't had an issue.

    On to the pics:

Since I needed to get my ditch lights out of the way, but since I couldn't get my drill in there for the hoodstruts I hit the "fuck it" button and took the hood off.

One giant hole, I was drinking off and on through out the disassembly process. But when it came time for this I shotgunned a beer and waited 20 minutes then said fuck it lets go! I mean I've already drilled 10 holes into my roof which is harder to replace compared to a little fender.

Signed it since it'll most likely never be seen again

Got the hood struts installed but kept forgetting to snag pics, but I finally installed them after a year plus

Ditch light clearance with one washer on that side, worked out perfect I'd say!

Overall not hard at all. Then we went to the YotaMafia meet (sadly didn't snag any pics) and @bryanbyers28 bought a snorkel and we installed it that night. So I'm a pro at installing snorkels now haha.

Got any questions don't hesitate to ask

Thanks! Super easy with that write-up honestly haha. Do it, it's worth the $300 savings over the Safari one. Yeah true that makes sense, I had the big mods "paid" for just needed them in-stock and I could afford to get the snorkel since I had $75 in Amazon gift cards haha
