please tell me someone has had to replace the glass on their stock radio touch screen. Got a little over zealous throwing gear in today and tossed my book bag with my laptop in it right into the screen. Anyone ever replace it before?

I'm not sure you can replace the screens on these like you can with a phone and even if you could I'm not sure where you could get the parts. Honestly your probably SOL and just gonna have to get a new head unit

The LCD screen can be replaced, but usually requires a donor unit. If a base model, a 2014-2015 radio may work, and the base ones can be had for under $100.

Ya this sucks. I can only imagine what these things cost. The truck is 2 months old.

At that point I'd probably just replace it with an aftermarket head unit. It'd be a lot cheaper

I just talked to the dealership and they quoted me $6000 dollars for a brand new one. that is freaking ridiculous.

I used to work at a dealership,

oh boy do I have some stories of "honesty"
I think the managers lied so much to their clients that they started to believe themselves

Couldn't you open it up and see who's screen they used and just order one from a parts warehouse? I mean after all it's just a touch screen. As long as you find the same manufacturer and size I would think the screen drivers would work.

    It's a panasonic. Do the 4runners use 7inch or 6 inch screens?

I would go aftermarket and get rid of the stupid entune interface. If mine broke I would get a new head unit with apple CarPlay
