Hey y'all! My husband has a 2014 Tacoma and his radio broke. We turned off the screen while watching a movie at the drive in last weekend and the screen never came back on. Now, that thing wasn't great to begin with so I'm thinking that rather than pay Toyota $750 to replace it, we should just put in something aftermarket on the cheap. We aren't very concerned with it having a lot of fancy features other than being compatible with the backup camera. Can anyone give me any suggestions? Thanks!

could prob find a used stock replacement on here for cheap. I like Kenwood if looking for aftermarket unit. so many options to list. Check out Crutchfield, they have great customer service and great product lineup.

Got my Kenwood from Crutchfield for $225 or so. I love it.

    CRUTCHFIELD!

Yep go to Crutchfield they will set you up and be available for install help. With my 4Runner I was replacing and of course failed to read instructions and just called them. They spent the time on the phone to coach me as I was looking for the harness etc inside the vehicle! Endless patience with a typical male!

They know exactly what's needed and will ship a complete package with all you need. Great prices too!

One of my favorite companies to be sure!

Being a 2014, you still might be within the 3 year warranty, which then the dealer can repair/replace at no cost to you.

Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case. He took it to the dealer this morning and they said it was going to cost $750. I will make sure he double checks with them when he picks it up this afternoon, though. Thank you!

EDIT: I actually just asked him and he said that they told him the warranty expired at 75,000 miles and he has 79,000 miles.

This is great to know! Thank you! That was his only concern with installing a new one despite the fact that he is pretty handy. I will definitely pass this along to him.
