So my differential pinion seal is starting to weep under the driveshaft flange.
This happened about 13k/3.5 years ago. Until it suddenly went from a weep to a full blown diff fluid piss-fest.
I had a hell of a hard time finding the right oem pinion seal because of my 4.88's, so we used a Napa seal-and here we are...
I was able to find the correct oem pinion seal after the job was completed. When we did the pinion seal we reused the pre-load crush spacer, my buddy helping me was able to wing the preload using the old spacer. Which I know now is a no-no. But it's held up this long.
    So my questions are:
    • Where is a good vendor I can order a quality solid spacer from? That'll work with 4.88's (if that matters)?
    • Is this a job for a diff shop or dealer? Or can I do this at home? (I know little about diffs)

    TIA
