The same shit everyone else has.
    Jealous.

Everything is blown out here still. Over 2" of rain this week.

Did hit the local lake in search of pre spawn large mouth.

The part of the lake that my house is on is too muddy to fish right now or I probably would've went fishing here. The first rainbow took a prince nymph and the other rainbow and brook ate the egg on the double nymph rig. I also had a little wild brown jump out of my hand while trying to get my phone.

Oh, it was like fishing in chocolate milk.

Lets talk bass for a minute. What are your go to flies for prespawn/spring bass? Ive been using black rubber legs wooly buggers as my go to and they seem to be working

I've had a lot of luck lately with divers, wooly boogers, and big white streamers lately but I wouldn't call it prespawn here. I think that's mostly already passed in OK.

Got back from the white river last night. Insane caddis hatch going on right now. Surprisingly few fish coming up to eat them. And they were picky. We caught a few small rainbows. Didn't get any pics of them though. Too busy focusing on the big browns to care about pics of stock rainbows.

White wooly buggers, flashy wooly buggers, and minnow streamers that are white/blue are typically what I use. I don't do a whole lot of bass fishing though. I've also caught a few on San Juan worms and Dave's crickets when targeting bluegill.

This is my rainbow I caught on the fly in the Kenai River in Alaska on July 4th. Absolute monster. About to go fish the Smith River in Montana so I'm looking at my old fish to get excited.

Was it a guided trip? I've got a fair number of friends and family who either own or work for fishing companies on the kenai..

Or a steelhead which it seems to be. Unfortunately I can not see the tail.

If it is, it would be an extreme rarity. The kenai doesn't have any kind of large steelhead run at all. There may be some rainbows that venture out to sea, but it's a very small portion of the total rainbow population. It does however have a massive salmon run which leads to many giant rainbows like the one above. Anybody who goes out later in the summer has a good chance to hook into a rainbow that size.

Alaska for you. We also have massive salmon runs. Also our stream trout is catch and release only. And even so we do not have anything like this in our rivers. At least not consistently. Larger bulls sometimes, but not rainbows.

I worked at a lodging and guiding camp right by the moose river. Went out just for fun with the camp crew

Couldn't of answered this any better. I don't think many go to the ocean. There are a ton of big trout in the river, sometimes they will even hit the plugs. Caught a lot of really nice trout and heard about HUGEE trout like the size of salmon
