Will be ordering a 65 even with the long shipping times, bought an Ozark Trail 52 after reading positive reviews online that I will be returning. Took it to Lone Star Jambo and it was pathetic. Prechilled it Wednesday, loaded it Thursday night and it stayed in my truck with temps at high 70's. Drinks were cold but I was out of ice by Saturday morning. Added another bag and that was gone in a day

my RTIC 65 has quite a significant dent in the lid from the factory. As I said before i purchased it during their superbowl sale so it was like $135 with free shipping. My ONLY problem with any of it is the fact i ordered it from Amazon and not directly from RTIC because RTIC gave the option of 1. mail it back for a full refund or 2. get a certain % of my $ back and just live with it (i think it would have been a 20% refund). Amazon flat out wanted me to send it back for full refund..... That being said.....
For the $135 i spend on it, even with the dent, it still exceeds my expectations and will still do the job and i literally saved nearly $200 over a yeti..... Also my RTIC 45 is pretty well flawless and i'm probably going to beat the ever loving piss out of the both of them anyway so the scuffs and scratches and little imperfections are the absolute least of my concerns.
I mean if anyone wants to spend $300-400+ on a cooler that, from a distance, looks identical and performs exactly the same as a cooler that only cost $200 or less.... More power to ya....

Is this sale still going on or has that ship sailed? I mean I jumped on there website and the 65 is still only 199. Not a bad deal compared to other coolers out there.

How's the build quality? I had terrible luck with the old style being rough around the edges.

It looks great, everything seems fine so far. No dents, scratches etc. only thing I noticed is the RTIC sticker on front is a lil crooked but other than that Good to go.

Mine got in yesterday. I've already packaged it back up to send back. Had a few scratches, and one pretty good gouge in it (I don't consider this RTIC's fault). The only blemish that I consider to be on RTIC are the two pitting locations I found on the outside that were a couple inches away from a drain plug. I sent them pictures and they provided me with a shipping label. So I don't really have much to complain about, unless I'm sending multiple coolers back just to try and get one that isn't blemished. So far customer service has been great, and I'll have my replacement pretty soon I hope.

I understood when I bought it that it was cheaper than competitors, and probably for a good reason. I would probably have just lived with the scratches because I don't think it would have been RTIC's fault, and I would probably scratch it up at some point anyway. However, the pitting on the outside I was not OK with. I don't think I have anything to be angry about yet, especially since it's all being covered and I was responded to within minutes of providing my order number.

I have a yeti 65 and RTIC 45. The yeti is much better quality but the RTIC works very well too. I don't worry about beating the crap out of my RTIC because I know it will handle it but I keep my yeti nice for show and family trips. Don't expect the $135 RTIC to be the same quality as the $400 yeti but they both work very well at being a cooler. You don't expect a S10 to be the same as your tacoma but they will both still truck.
