    Hey gang, just wanted to quickly introduce myself and my new pickup.

    I've owned a couple Toyotas in the past, a 1999 4Runner 4x2 and a 2007 SR5 4x4 Tundra V8. I really loved my Tundra but on an impulse I traded her straight up for a 2002 Ford F250 7.3 with 4WD and a 5 speed. When I needed a commuter later on I sold my Super Duty to my buddy and picked up a Mk2 GTI and then a Mk6 GTI. Finally this last Saturday I traded in the GTI with 50k on the clock for my cherry fresh Tacoma. She's a 2017 Access Cab Sport, 4x4, V6, 6 speed manual. Opt'd for the sport to save a few bucks and I don't plan on doing much heavy off roading but that may change in the future and I'll likely need to install a locker in that case.

    Don't have too much planned other than wheels and tires, a few cosmetic items (really like those blacked out grilles I've seen), and maybe some bumpers if I'm feeling saucy. Of course I'm open to suggestions! Mostly she'll be my daily driver but also she'll see dirt at least half a dozen times a year for camping trips and running around the OHV parks.

    Also I guess I should add that I'm a machinist by trade and I currently work in a R&D shop working on aerospace prototypes and light spaceflight parts. Mostly aluminum and stainless. I've got a real passion for my trade and I love to chop it up with other machinist and tradesmen about making parts and running machine tools.

    Anyways, I've got lots of lurking to do to catch up on all the stuff I need to learn about my new truck. Glad to meet all of you and see ya around.

    Thanks man, especially happy to get back to a 3 pedal since my VW was the DSG auto. I was a little rusty on the clutch but it came back quick enough!
