I think my truck may have an aftermarket alarm, but I don't know for sure. The truck didnt have any key fobs or the like when i bought it a few months ago. Whenever I lock/unlock the truck the horn beeps once to lock, twice to unlock. I hate this feature and would love to disable it, I just have no idea what I'm doing when it come to this kind of thing. It arms every time I lock the truck, doesn't matter if I lock it with the remote, or from the button on the door.

It also has one of those flashy security leds so's ya know when it's armed, and that always flashes when the truck is locked. Dunno if that makes any difference at all.

Any help getting it to stop beeping when I lock or unlock would be awesome.

Also after much googling I attempted a few times to turn off the beeping using the factory key in turn on/off, open door, click seatbelt, pull e-brake, flash headlights, song and dance. I can't remember the actual sequence, but regardless it had no effect. Coulda done it wrong the 5 or 6 times I tried tho....

Those easter egg combinations do work, however they seem to change from year to year. I can tell you they are also very time sensitive (even turning off the maintenance light which is an easy one)
