My dream classic truck was always a Scout 800. My dad had a Scout II growing up and we used to have to sit in the middle since there was a hole in the passenger side floor. Midwest salty winters...

But I'd do a Scout II as long as I could put Ralleye racing stripes on it in some 70's color

Just for giggles.. I am wondering if you've confirmed this? Back in high school I seem to remember the smog laws stayed with the frame. So a pre smog body on a smog frame means you have to smog. Pre smog frame meant you didn't.

I'm sure you've confirmed already but just in case..

More shit then I ever planned on doing
My pops had a 4x4 70 pick up growing up. We sold it in 2003 when he past away to a guy in Texas that just wanted it for the the motor. I learned how to drive in that truck with no power steering and no power brakes. Also had a rare 392 in it rather then the typical 304 or 345. Was told by my machine shop buddy that the 392 is probably the most expensive American made motor to rebuild. IMG_4408.jpgYes this handsome young man would be me

yeah the 70s style was the best body style IMO but I like the 7.3 power stroke diesel so I'm going to take the body off of one of the 70s fords and put it on the frame from a 90s diesel

for diesel pre 97 is smog free therefore no matter what I wont need to smog it
besides either way it will be registered as the body style i have so it will look like a 70s truck
