My cruise on indicator light is out all of a sudden, cruise still works.

Can this bulb be accessed from underneath after removing the lower panel and duct work? Or do I have to remove the entire cluster?

You'll have to remove the entire cluster. It's fairly easy though. There are some good write-ups and some youtube videos that explain where things are located and best method of removal. Bulb is located behind the cluster and will have to be pulled and replaced with new.

Ok. Maybe while I am in there I will replace all the others.

Any experience with LED's? Do they cast a smooth light as the factory bulbs do?

I found that if you use excessively bright LED's they will bleed through the coating (especially bad with the climate control) it depends on which bulbs you use.

I just used the standard bulbs. You can get different colored caps to change the light color. No experience with the LED. I have done them on my motorcycle though and I needed to run a resistor in there to.

That is what I am thinking too, just go with a standard bulb. I am not interested in changing colors. Cruise light is green, will stay that way. Stands to reason, at least for me, the cruise light burnt out first, I am on the highway most of the time with my truck using cruise. hummmm, maybe I should put a longer lasting LED in the cruise light?

My cruise lite is still good after 115K miles. Almost always on. If/when it burns out I'll just let it be.
