Looking to pick up some riser cross bars. I've seen different setup where some people run 2 bars, and others run 3. I know it all comes down to weight, but have any of the 2 bar setups failed? Looking to pull the trigger before camping season, and the wait times are starting to get bigger.

Two should be plenty. What rack are you thinking of getting?

I'd rather not think of all the $ spent :(
I asked CVT that very question. Per Ian there, two was fine. I only have 2 for my Rainer Summit and Leitner rack

Do you mind if I ask if you use the tent solo, or with another person. I plan on camping with my wife, and I'm 220.

I have 3 Relentless bars, but not for weight. I wanted the QuickFist tabs to carry stuff along the risers and needed the middle bar for that purpose.

I have two for my rack. I made it out of 1 1/12" square tube. With my gf, dog, and me in it I've had zero Problems.

The only potential problem I could see is that each crossbar for that relentless rack is separate. They could role forward or back. However that would be pretty unlikely... My crossbars are connected on the bed rail by a single piece of angle iron so it's a whole unit and can't move or lift.
