All electronic controls from steering wheel buttons are dead...horn too

    All electronic controls from steering wheel buttons are dead...horn too. happened overnight. Turn signal and wipers work fine. Any ideas??

    does your cruise control work? if not then it's the clock spring(spiral cable)

    Clock spring ( Spiral Cable ) broken. All of the steering wheel functions go through this cable: Horn, Stereo Controls Air bag etc... When the cable breaks it may effect some things and not effect everything.

    Easy to replace yourself, just make sure you disconnect the battery, give it a half hour to bleed off the capacitors for the Air Bag. Search there is a procedure posted here somewhere.

    Not sure if your year truck is covered under the Toyota recall but I had my Spiral cable replaced 2 years ago under the recall campaign. Something to look into.

    Cruise and horn is pretty much a dead giveaway that it's the spiral cable. Is your airbag light on also
