Just created account, been reading a lot of threads on this site, getting to know the features, plus some threads are pretty entertaining. I don't have a Tacoma pickup, but will definitely have one by end of year. I really like the size of the first generation but will buy a 3rd gen sport or off road. Probably wait until 2018s are out. Seems like there's a few issues TM need to iron out.

I've wanted one since early '90s but ended up with new 4x4 Ford Ranger in 1994, which my son has now, couldn't afford the Toyota pickups at the time, now I can and am excited to get new one.

I appreciate all the info members have contributed to this site, really helps me understand these pickups. Once again, enjoy reading the threads.

Welcome. I think you will be fine if you find what you like in this year model.

The internet has magnified the issues that you have been reading about.

I'm 1st gen, but I really like the last gens. Once I find what I want, I'm getting it.

Waiting until end of year is a great idea. Either get a hefty discount on a '17 or go ahead and grab an '18 if it has noticeable improvements without being overpriced.

What are you wanting...double cab, 4x4, OR? Colors you like? AT or MT?

I like AC for longer bed, wife likes DC, so probably be DCSB. Definitely 4x4, color is tough one, super white, maybe blue or inferno. Thinking AT but I've always had MT vehicles, I'll test drive a lot. Damn engineer in me has me over analyzing everything, but then there's a lot of fun in the hunt, especially when $ is not an issue.

I'm not worried about some owner issues, TM will get them fixed so 2017 is ok, wait and see what I find, I'll know it when I see it.
