You would Think Toyota would have a soft Tonneu for the Tacoma! NOT!
On my 06 Frontier King I had dealer installed Nissan cover for it and it was really a very nice Tonneu. I wish Toyota would do like Nissan and offer a specific cover for Tacoma. Oh Well! Thanks!

I won't need the money tree now. Sounds like a bunch of people are having real issues with the BAK tonneau - I am going to keep looking. The BAK design is what I want, but I want a well built tonneau with good support behind it (especially for that price!).

here in Ontario, Toyota does offer a hard and soft tonneau cover as a dealer installed option, also now they offer the Extang Trifecta. They want too much for it though, $598, when you can pick one up yourself for $350!!!

i just purchased the leer 700 series hard top cover for my truck so far so good, no leaks its painted the same color and it locks the bed which is a good thing in nyc. the only down side is that it limits what i can fit in the bed but look wise it looks great.

I just got the "Roll Up Cover" from ACI (Agri-Cover Inc.). Looks great, took only 35 minutes to install, clears everything and it doesn't require drilling any holes. I paid about 550 (Cdn).

The tonneau I have is not the peel and stick, I have the Lund Genesis snap cover. It comes with anodized black aluminum rails which sit on top of the facory plastic bed rail caps. The cover also includes some aluminum clamps that hook onto the tonneau rails, and slide into the factory tie down bed rails, and are secured with some bolts. If I have time tomorrow, I will take some photos and post them.

I was looking at the peel and seal covers, but I have seen a lot of covers that just don't stay closed anymore, usually because the edge of the track splits and cracks...I don't take my cover off that often, but didn't want the problems with a hard cover (storage, weight, etc.)...It works fine for me, but I'll have to see how long it lasts in the Michigan winters.

Good soft tonneaus use a special velcro that is made to handle the abuse. You want the short stiff kind of velcro, not the fuzzy stuff.

Help anyone- I just bought and installed the Extang roll up cover and it seems like air gets under it. Does anyone know if you have to remove the side plastic covers on the bed for it to fit down perfectly?

I have just installed the Access LE cover this past week and it is great. The reasons that I purchased it was that it allowed me full use of all the clamps on the rails and it's warrenty.
