Just got my bumper. And am attempting to put it on myself, but wondering if I'm missing some hardware.. I've got 5 large bolts (not 6, but will use one/two of the originals I guess) for the support. One is shorter than the others? A ton of large washers I'm guessing they're including now for aligning.

Also, looking at pics online of the bumper, it looks like there's additional support for the sides of the frame/bumper that wrap around and bolt on, which I assume was for the smaller 4 bolts.. But I don't have that on my bumper.. Or is this an update on their design?

Or are those 4 smaller bolts for "wing" supports that I've seen in some? Also not included.. Am I missing something here?

You are missing one big bolt. Should have 6, 3 on both sides. They all should be the same length, but I'm sure that short one will work. Those small bolts are for the bracket that I guess you did not receive. And you will re-use the 4 factory bolts holding your old bumper on.

Well hell.. Guess I'll be contacting them for the supports. And I got the bumper on. Finally. The bottom brace wasn't wanting to line up. Got it tho. Got the 6 large bolts in. Took 3 washers for spacing and is nice and snug with the grille... But should be fine without the side supports for a bit eh? Until I get the supports that is.

    Here she is.

I didn't even think that it may have been left in the crate too I suppose. Shoulda triple checked. No biggie. Bumper seems to be holding up just fine. The driver and I removed it from the crate and carried it to the truck. The only other thing I saw was the wrapped up baggie of hardware. Maybe we missed it if it was packaged separately. Easy thing to miss I guess. Oh well no biggie. Yeah I'll contact them tomorrow. I'm sure they'll send out some. Or maybe that driver will drop them off if he found em by chance. He actually rolls by my place quite often for a business down the way.

Side note.. Anyone done anything to help cover up the windshield fluid reservoir that kinda sticks out a lil? Not a big deal, but wouldn't mind making something to help cover it up a bit.

Another side note, I'm gonna have to touch up the finish on the frame and inner guts that are now more exposed. Ha. Looks terrible back there, lol. Any easy solutions? I've read up on por-15 but only briefly. But not quite ready to tackle that job as I'd want to do the entire frame and whatnot at once. Guess I could try some detailer or the engine shine stuff, as a temporary measure until I get around to frame treating eh?

RE: windshield washer reservoir - most find a different container and locate it elsewhere in the engine bay. I've seen some trick ones made from ABS pipe that hugs the radiator.
Time for me to do something about mine - the plastic neck has become so brittle, it breaks off in my hands...
    Bumper looks great!

Hmm. Yeah I've heard about relocations. Not sure I wanna do that. I'll Probly just get some kinda cover for it. Like a plastic sheet or somethin. Doesn't stick out too far to warrant relocating it:

Oh and I guess relentless is off on an expo till the 15th. No biggie. Those supports can wait.

Bumper came out great! Did you get it powder coated or paint it your self?

Nice I like that! Seems easy. But hmmm.. I'm planning on putting a second battery in that spot at some point. Still haven't researched that too much either, but have seen dual bats in the factory spot too. Will have to relocate the cruise module as well.. I'll have to look more into everything before I start relocating things and plan it out. Ha. But thank you I'm definitely saving this!

Sure did. Had a lil trouble getting the lower holes on one side to line up due to a tab being slightly bent from shipping, but got it. Yeah they powder coated it. Glad I chose that option. It's a perrrrrrfect finish. Just wondering about how to touch up the edges whenever I find someone to make some custom light cutouts. Could've waited to powder it, but didn't want to find/trust anyone out here. Had some street bike parts coated and they messed up twice.

    Good bumper, love mine.

Hard to tell in your pics, but to you have the outer bumper/frame tie-in brackets? Highlighted in red circle.

Also, this is what I did to get the washer reservoir out of the way (from another thread). Not hard at all, functions great and keeps the container/wires out of the way from dirt, debris and sticks.

No. That's what this thread was originally about. Was missing those. I emailed relentless but they're out till the 15th.

And yeah, I like the reservoir relocations.just gotta figure out about relocating cruise and 2nd battery before I do anything.

Gotchya, my bad. I just read the 1st couple lines and saw the pics. It's been a long day :anonymous:

Once Eric gets back from Expo he'll get ya the right stuff.

Given your truck's cruise control position and future secondary battery, keep us posted when you do the reservoir relocation; might have to get a little creative, but it'd be cool to see what you do.

Be weary of locating two batteries in the stock location. The radiator (I think that's what it's called) support isn't all that strong there. The extra weight can bend it. Mine is bent and my driver side head light points to the sky. This happened shortly after I put a dual battery system in that corner. It might just be a coincidence but be cautisous.
