    40% sounds about right.You can bet dealers pay far below "invoice".Invoice is laughable and was created to make buyers think they're getting a deal.

    I say OP's MT fluid was low.
    He wrote he couldn't touch the fluid level through the fill hole.

    I stand corrected, I was going off of the original post where it was said that only 1.9 quarts came out therefor it was deemed 'low' but if it wasn't reachable through the fill hole and was indeed low then that could very well cause harsh shifting. Good thing about manual trans though is that they're generally tough as nails and being low on fluid won't cause long term damage so long as it isn't substantially low and driven like that for a long time. Just fill 'er up and it should be good to go. Lucas makes an additive for manual transmissions that acts like a 'thickener' for the gear oil and makes the shifting even smoother, it's meant for older transmissions that are notchy from age but works well on newer ones that feel a little too harsh as well. I've used it before, it's a pain in the ass to pump out though. It's thick as honey lol.
