    LMAO!

    Just take off the bezel, attach the backing plate, then drill and thread the holes. Once the bezel is reinstalled, bolt it up through (with washers), and then use use one screw on each side (not 3 like the instructions say). I used those little black ones that you buy in a package at CT.

    This thing came out 4 years ago and from what I can tell still the best mount for off road use...
    Well ordered mine, we'll see how it goes.

    Wait a minute... not you that I gave it too.

    No, you don`t have to fab a bracket when you buy new since it comes with one, but if you have your truck stolen and the backing bracket is already installed (but the Tech Deck is on the work bench), well .... yes.
