    It's supposed to have the strength of a uniball, the durability and sealing properties of a ball joint, as well as the high angle capability that ball joints have shown to have over uniballs. Not to mention they are or will also be available to most current 1" uniball UCA's (not just their own brand UCA's) as retrofits! Is there a drawback here? I don't know. Let's discuss it, because on paper it sounds like the best thing since sliced bread for DD's!

    Saw it on IG. Only drawback I see is squirting grease out or tearing the boot.

    I'm not sure to be honest with you. It looks like it may use the same sort of design found in shocks where a wiper seal is present and it constantly cleans out the exposed area as it moves around within the joint.

    This looks like smoke and mirrors to me. Marketing bs. Guess we will see when someone has one for a couple of years

    The only thing that bothers me about it, is that while it is greasable, it uses what appears to be some proprietary needle style zerk. That's sort of annoying.

    I just called Icon to see if these would fit current aftermarket UCA's other than theirs. They stated that a different series will be released in a few months to fit different styles but the current ones they have out will only fit HCOM 16 style uniball cups.

    I don't see what the difference between HCOM 16 cups would be and WSSX-16T style cups would be. They are both 1" uniballs.

    Cost?

    Because this is nothing new. Monster in Down Under already makes long travel balljoints that fit into for example camburg ballpoint UCA. Kinda pricey so hopefully this is cheaper

    Their ball joints for their own UCA's cost is $262 for a pair. Ehh. The price for the non proprietary ball joints will be announced when they release that series.

    Info on these other ball joints you are talking about? We like options! (Also I'm tired of my squeaky uniballs, but have yet to hear of anything other than these that match the strength the uni's do)

    Can't say. I haven't used them but am eyeing them as a replacement once my uniballs give in. So far no squeaks with 15k miles. I clean them, dry with compressed air and hit with dry lube as much as possible.

    The monster rides BJ's look like they only replace the Burg BJ, not a WSSX16T uniball. And look to change the upper arm geometry with how tall that stand off is.
