    Hey all,

Back in December I posted up about the various audio problems I was having.
I tried some DIY, research, and going to cheap route to get it fixed, but I finally stepped up: HU was replaced with a Kenwood KDC-X998, and I had a pro shop scope the amps and set all the equipment properly. Things sound much better in general.

However, my 4ch amp is very tired. After around 11 years of service and surviving all my 4x4, it now constantly hisses (yes, it is the amp - hooking up a different amp eliminates the noise).

The shop suggested a Hertz amplifier, I believe it was a HCP4, I think the quote was around $275 for the amp. Should I just go with this, or is there something else to consider? The amp only has to drive two Hybrid Audio Clarus 6.5 speakers (I haven't sent any power to the rear stock speakers since 2009). Given that, I probably only need an HCP2 or whatever equivalent.

I put in the Arc Audio since I'm not sure if Marv still has his sale going

Definitely check out the Marv Group Buy. You won't be disappointed.
