Morning all. Dad's still hospitalized so I'm spending a soon to be soggy weekend at the elbow of the Cape. I ran by the lighthouse last night for a bit of relaxation. Nice without the summer crowds. Even the Great Whites aren't here yet...

Edit: if you watched the movie "The Finest Hours" about the coastguard rescue of the Pendleton in the 50's - it happened right here.

The great whites are here. One lady is still in the hospital from a San Onofre attack. Dozens just off shore in OC. We have had the nurseries here for years but this is quite a bit more than normal.

Good morning, supposed to get up to 80* today and the next few days. So much for Spring welcome to summer.

Got a phone call last night about a 1.5 year old Toller that is looking for a home. Just spent the morning on the phone with the breeder that he went back to. She is going to do some more testing with the pup on birds today and tomorrow and get back to me. And I have to fill out some forms, etc. But looking like I am going to be making a speed run to Houston, Tx. wherever the hell that is, think the other end of I-35, and pick up a dog and head back. Can hardly sit for an hour or two with my sciatic nerve not sure how that is going to happen. But will make it happen if things turn out.

Had to fly out to a company near there a few years back and they took me out for supper. My youngest sister at the time was working at Navy Underwater Systems Center as an Electronic Engineer at Providence RI and they let her join us. I ended up getting and eating a 4 lb. lobster and ate the whole thing, no left overs on that sucker! Your picture makes me want to head back there again.

Just remember to pick up I-45 when you hit Dallas or you'll end up in Kevin's back yard.
