I have a 2010 Tacoma sport with TRD bead locks on. I am wanting to put TPMS sensors in them. Will a TMPS from a 17" wheel work with a 16"? Or is it just a standard TPMS from tacoma, and a certain one for 4runners, FJ's etc. i am also wanting to change my tires when I swap them for a more street friendly tire. Does tire size matter with the sensors as well?

    Thanks for your help.

Yes, they will work. No, tire size does not matter.

One thing to keep in mind is that the internal battery in TPMS sensors will eventually die so if the sensors you have or are planning to get are old, you may consider buying new ones. Some members have reported a good 7 years out of theirs, but I can't remember the exact time frame. Other than that, they are pretty standard.

I think you can only have one set programed at a time and I think the dealer has to do it.
