Was honking of purchasing a 6" bds lift and was just curious.. I have bilstien 5100s with the front set to 2.5 should I keep the billies with the bds set up and ultimately have 8.5 in front and 6" in rear? Or pay the extra money and get the fox coilovers?? Would the fox coilovers give me any more lift than what the bilstiens are? And ride quality differences? Anyone running either setup with pics? Thanks!

You are not understanding the fundamental workings of a 6" BDS kit. The kit uses a drop bracket with extended spindles. It basically adds 4"ish to the middle of your suspension setup. It spaces your shock mounting points out as well. For example, stock strut mounting distance is about 20" (just an example). BDS drop bracket increases that to 24-25". Your 2.5" bilsteins on the BDS kit would make sit in full bottom out on the suspension.

Long story short, you need the extended length shocks that the kit comes with in order to properly get the lift. Also, do more research on here and you will find that drop bracket kits are "mainly" for looks. The only performance advantage you will get over a proper 3" lift is roll-over clearance mid-truck and exit angle. You will also be limited on shock options, both front and rear.
