On my 99, 2000, and 2005 Tacoma I've always had a camper top. When I asked my finance manager (the wife) about getting a new 2017 she told me the only restriction was I couldn't put a camper top on it. She hates them and says it looks like an old mans truck. Who gives a shiz what they look like but whatever. I said ok and bought a new truck a few weeks ago. I ordered the Undercover ridgelander and put it on today. Easy on and off and I like the fact that I can add equipment with or without the cover using the Tango track system. IMG_0541.jpgIMG_0542.jpg

My finance manager says the same thing man. Been trying to convince her for the longest time about a camper top haha.

Very interested in the Ridgelander. @WorKinJoB, do you keep your basket on all the time? Any major drop in mpg? How's the Ridgelander holding up so far?

I keep the basket on all the time. The only draw back I've seen is, with the basket on you cant see anything out the back window. It pretty much blocks everything. But the fact I can load it up without filling my bed up is why I got it. It's mainly used for my cooler. As far as MPG I average 17 mpg around town.IMG_0568.jpg

Any problem with the weight of the added accessories and keeping the lid open? Just wondering if you can leave 50# of bikes on top and open close the lid without issues.
    Does it leak much?

The lid had some pretty strong struts. I would say it could hold 50# no problem. As far as water. I get some water inside from a heavy rain. I have the bed may in my truck so if their is any water, it's goes under my mat and I've never really had anything get wet.

That looks great! Where did you order it (the bed cover) and what was the price?

I ordered it through a truck accessories place near me. If they sell the Undercover brand bed covers they should be able to order it. I think I paid right around 1400 for it. It comes with everything you see except the basket on top.

I have been looking for feedback on the Ridgelander, thanks for starting this post. Do you think it could hold a RTT and still open?

OP do you know the weight rating on that system. That looks like it'd be a nice setup for a tent.

OP the Ridgelander looks great. I lost out against another co-worker on getting one for my Tacoma. We decided to put it on a Colorado instead.

Update to my OP... Added a Bilstein 5100 lift (2.5" front / 1" Rear), Fuel Trophy's, and 285x70x17 Open country AT II... Makes the Undercover Ridgelander look even better on the truck!

Are you still happy with this cover? How hard is it to take on and off?
