Good morning everyone. Happy 2nd Monday

Talking a half day from work tomorrow, to get the wheels mounted. Going to go to Firestone. Getting their lifetime alignment (figured it was worth it since I have winter wheels, so that way it can be done every time I swap them out). Not going with a very "aggressive" looking tire because I don't go off-roading, and wanted a "smooth" ride.

 

265/75/17 bag ko2. That's what I'd go with the ko2 have great traction and there not super aggressive tread they come stock on the TRD off road

 

I priced those out, and they are a bit expensive I think. Plus I think it would rub since I'm not lifted... I think. Going with 265/70/17. I'll see how it looks when I get to Firestone tomorrow, just in case, and see if the tires I'm going with aren't "eye catchy" enough. Can't remember the name of the tires I'm going with.

Will definitely post more info tomorrow, while I'm there and waiting around.

 

Cool, when I got my tires I couldn't decide between stock size or jumping up 1 size to the 265/70/17. Ended up wimping out on the bigger ones because of the fact that it messes with the odometer slightly. That size will look good as long as the odometer and speedometer differences won't bother you

 

To be honest with you, I never even knew that, so up until now I was OK, Now not so sure... Just kidding! It won't bother me even just learning about it. The one thing that "worries" me is the look. Want it to look "bad ass" since the rims are aftermarket, but don't want a crazy aggressive look either because I'd like to still have a decent ride. I'll ask the guy to let me see a rim with the tire mounted first, before I give the final "go ahead" on doing the rest, if they let me do it...

 

Really I'm on 33s and my speedo is off by like 2-3mph max I thought it was off more but on our way back from thee fluid film meet @Cativelense confirmed it for me it was barely off at all surprisingly

 

Go with the 265/70 you won't be disappointed I swear it.

 

Definitely going with the 265/70 for sure. I guess the only thing I'm debating on is how much of an "aggressive" looking tire do I want. For now I went with a less aggressive one because I'd rather have a better ride. Guess I'll make the final decision tomorrow at Firestone.

I remember that!! We were coming up on the downhill to exit 27 I think, and you were behind me and texted asking what speed we were going at, so you could compare it to your speedo.

 

Hahaha yessir this is the time I'm referring too. Me personally I really wanted an aggressive MT tire that would perform off road well and have a decent road ride I settled on thee Atturo Trail Blade XT. I was a tad nervous only because I had never heard of them before but figured for the price I'll try em and honestly I love them. There basically a more road friendly M/T . They definitely make a good Hmmmmm on the road but i think it sounds bad ads myself so for me win win.
