    I have two of them.

My only advice for them is don't fill all the way, they will build up pressure and can squirt some fuel when you open them.

I have two. They were marketed by Briggs and Stratton in canada.

I ran over one of my old NATO cans in the sand once. No damage to the can, it was full.

They only sell the ones with the stupid plastic lids now.

Just the essentials and no extra fluff.
I have some of the NATO cans manufactured by Gelg. Marked "not for fuel." Much better than the plastic garbage foisted upon us by the EPA.

I have two I plan to mount in a Front Runner holder on my roof, and came here searching for any reports of them leaking when sitting in the sun. Guess I've not got much to worry about, especially if a run them underfilled by 1/4 gal each.

I actually got mine the other day, filled it up and dropped it by accident leaving it in my truck bed. No sratch or dent.

Solid. Bought mine from jerrycans.com, Wavian Brand. Does anyone have these mounted inside the end? Photos? I'm gonna get the mount from Wavian but wanted to see if there was a cheaper way to do it?

I used the front runner mount. Just drill 4 holes through it and the bed. Fits solid. 20170403_160407.jpg

I have 4 of them - great cans.

This style (the bayonet lid) is available again in the US! Someone designed a CARB-compliant spout that will attach to these cans. Of course, the older style, non-CARB-compliant spouts fit also - but only for educational purposes...

I really don't get why on earth you would put them on their side. They are designed to stand up. Run a strap through the handles and be done with it.

They are designed to hold fuel in any orientation. Sure, ideally, you want them standing up. But when you are in the field (ie. warzone), and SHTF, cans get tossed around, bumped, etc. It's good they don't leak.

Thoughts on the jerry can sold in California by Harbor Freight? Says made in Latvia. So that’s a thing.
