What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Bought new tires (Pro Comp Sport A/T 265/70/17) to go with the new Method rims and Bilstein lift kit I will be installing within the next two weeks.

 

Finally got a nice detail over the weekend while it was nice out.

 

What product are you using there ^?

 

Cleaning steps:
1) Touch-less wash
2) Foam Cannon pre-wash
3) Wash, (2 buckets, one soap, one rinse)
4) Rinse off
5) Dry
6) Any clay or touch-up needed
7) Wax on truck
8) Wheel wax
9) Tire shine
10) Interior detail (whole other story haha)

Total Time Elapse: 2.5 hours

Foam Cannon:
The foam cannon was home made. I haven't made a write up of it yet, but I should have one soon. You can also find them all over Amazon. I suggest the ones you attach to a power washer, not the ones you connect to a hose. The hose ones don't seem to have enough power to get dirt off.

Soap:

How do you like the 4200? I was planning on the 8200 but might "settle" for this instead.

 

Go with the 8200. Spend the extra money.

 

I like the 4200. I originally ordered the 8201, but my buddy (a Pioneer wholesale distributor) convinced me the 4200 would get me by as a placeholder until the replacement for the 8201 comes out. So once Pioneer releases the 8201 replacement, I'm getting that.

 

You mind sending me a shout when you hear that happening...I like the screen better in the 8200 better plus a few other things.

 

I love the screen on it...was planning on it.

 

They were set on the highest setting @ 2.5

Figured I saw enough info on how to do the rear diff oil, might as well do it. Only 22K KM on the truck, but cant hurt to do it. Had the wife help and it went nice and fast, less than 1 hour from start to finish.

Ha ha I'm glad I could help. I had to wash my hand multiple times before that stank diff oil smell finally went away.

 

have not driven it in a while now, decided to park it near the junk pile while I wait for a chance to get the springs replaced.

Bought 2 new batteries for my F350 as I could only get one cycle of Glow plugs, wow this thing cranks fast with a fresh pair installed and can do several GP cycles.

 

Found a sneaky way to run my new mic for the 2012 radio.
