The collapsed length of these shocks worries me for my 100xq. It's states 11.22" and when I measure mine with the cap door shut I only get 10". Can someone confirm these C16-02648 work on a 100xq 2nd Gen Tacoma cap/topper?
    Thanks

So I took my lift cylinders off and extended my door as far open as the hinges would allow. 17.5" is pretty much as long of a lift cylinder as you'd want to use. 11" collapsed length.

Just in case anyone else is searching the forums.

The part number listed will work, as stated here, but in Canada that particular cylinder is $70/pair.

I tried to use these for my 100 xl and they are too long compressed so my window wouldn't shut. What gives?

They are the ones that everyone is linking from Amazon Suspa C16-02648 C1602648. The part on the strut matches. Collapsed it's just too long. Here's a pic compared to the one that came with my cap. As you can see that the compression i need would hit the strut body on the new one not allowing enough compression which is why my window wouldn't shut after I installed the new ones.

Do have a dealer near you, if so , see what they suggest.

I do and I'm sure they will just try to sell me their struts. I just don't get why these same struts will work for everyone else using a leer 100 r,xr,xl etc...
I'd love to make these work like everyone else but as you can see from the pic, it just doesn't seem like it will.

Bummer. Yeah I don’t know. You tried installing them and messing with the hinges?
