    Morning all:
Cool and dreary AGAIN, where's the sun!!!

Not doing too good on the walleyes, went out last night and Jim got 1, opening night Jim and his BIL got 1 for a total of 2 so far, that's bad! :(
Hoping this weather has something to do with it and that the bite will pick up shortly.

    Morning all:
It was warmer in Feb Ken!
We hit a different lake last night, same results and only managed 1 walleye in the boat. I haven't caught a walleye so far this year, this is absolutely the worse start ever in 40 or so years of fishing for them.
I would like to get out to the river for shad, seems like when it almost gets down to where it's fishable we get more heavy rain and it gets too high to fish properly. :annoyed:

Last night on the way home there was a bad accident on rt. 80 involving tractor trailers and vehicles, luckily for us we were going in the opposite direction because they had it closed down for miles on that side. Glad we didn't run into that on the way out there, or worse yet be part of it!

Thanks Carl It's the thought that counts....

Happy belated Mother's Day to all the moms! We were busy this weekend, celebrating the occasion on Friday, Saturday, *and* Sunday. So many moms, etc. and so on. Sunday was the best because it was just the two of us. We made comfort food -- macaroni and cheese -- with a heap or two of lump crabmeat tossed in because, come on, it's Mother's Day. :) Leftovers tonight too, w00t!

So I have this dilemmna. I like cars. (I mean, here I am so that's probably a given!) I'm also posting in this thread so that means I am getting to a point in my life where I have, or will have, more free time. A *lot* of free time. Finally, I am a former professional mechanic and used to work on English cars in particular. But in reality that was nearly 40 years ago.

With that background, is this a crazy idea? Non-running, "ran when parked" 1969 Lotus Elan. Not far from where I live.

    Evening all:
 Gary beat me to it!
If it's something you like, and would enjoy working on it, why not! Just a reminder, EVERYTHING IS EXPENSIVE!
Hey, you only go around once, that car looks like it's in pretty good condition.

Just checked, yup there are Lotus forums! :D

    GRRRRR, as Mike would say!
Broke my cheap B&D jigsaw, the whole base broke off but it still ran. Went out and bought a Dewalt for almost a hundred bucks and that piece of junk wouldn't keep the blade in the blade guide and wouldn't cut straight even using a clamped on guide for the base, the broken one without the base cut straighter using a guide, returned it and got my money back. Ended up running 20 miles the other way and bought a Makita for $119, lots of good reviews on the Makita so fingers crossed!
Was reading reviews on the Dewalt after I returned it, bunch of people mentioned having the exact same problem as I had and also returned the ones they had purchased, didn't read even one review about that being a problem with the Makita.

You don't see these motors too often, better yet the DOHC Ford 427.

    Morning All:wave:

Everyone needs a hobby Dave :D. Looks like it would be fun to restore/repair then drive. I hope if you bid, they don't drive the price up too high.

    X2

Hi Carl, being on a fixed income:)rolleyes::rofl:) I have gotten into checking reviews on the majority of my expensive purchases. The inter-webs the best for getting good info :woot:

. Looks like a lot of TLC and thought went into the Ford in a Chevy.
