That's about the same way I feel about the Tampa Bay Rays. I didn't start keeping up with the Astros till a few years ago when my cousin got drafted by them.

Yep! Lance McCullers. Number two pitcher in the starting rotation.

 

They need to trade for another starter.

Young pitchers who are dominating but have never thrown 200in will create voids in crunch time.

 

That's awesome! Maybe I'll actually watch a game and look for him. lol When I first moved to Houston I was excited to live somewhere with a team so I went to a bunch of games. Now I haven't been in a few years.

 

McCullers is on track for his best season yet. Hopefully he can stay healthy. Keuchel has been dominant. And Morton is impressive. But Fiers and Musgrove haven't been so hot.

He'll be pitching tomorrow against the Marlins. It's a travel day though so it's an early game. 11am central time. Noon here.

 

I am aware of their Apri l/ May success which has nothing to do with what I stated. So like I said hopefully they get a couple of guys who can pitch some innings.

Four of the starting 5 have never thrown 200in and will most likely get dead arm, shut down or have an innings limit!

 

Houston has a good rotation I will give them that and good bats. They are good. Haha

 

Pujols reaches 600 career HR. Next year he will reach 3000 hits and will become only the 4th player in MLB history in the 600/3000 club, have to wonder where he ends up on the GOAT hitters list, definitely top 10.

 

Unfortunately, with the PED era, and the Anaheim market, people don't seem to care about the 600 HR milestone.

You know, KC is finally beating the teams we should, are competitive with the better teams finally, and the bats are warming up. Been feeling much better about things of late and, if we can get 2 key starters back healthy and figure out the setup/close bullpen, who knows how far this team can still go? With key players soon to be free agents, there are rumors that territorial problems are developing between Dayton Moore and the owners on where that may go? Stupid free agent rules sometimes force smaller market teams to make trades they REALLY don't want or need to make but I suspect it is all about being in contention come trading deadline time. Yes, buy. No, sell. There is one sell scenario where we lose Vargas, Cain, Hosmer, AND Moustakas. That would make me more than mildly nauseous.

I'm also not sure how the Angels are staying around .500. The rotation has been bombed with injuries, and Trout is out. I'll take it though.
