A second is planned to be built along side this one, with a wedge pop top. Basically having an intergrated RTT for the roof of the canopy. A couple of weeks I should have those figured out.

 

Are you planning to make it one assembly or separate tray/canopy? Single assembly should cut down the cost.

The integrated wedge rtt sounds awesome. Wish they would be available before i roll out on my trip!

Maybe you should bump that original order up to 4 instead of 2.

 

They are separate, Really the only cost you would save making it one piece is minus one floor. Otherwise it really is mostly built the same. But having the tray separate from the canopy has huge advantages. The canopy has 4 jacks to lift itself off of the tray, so if you either need to haul larger items or just want to leave your canopy with everything at camp its a possibility.

Id love to just go ahead and have a bunch built but unfortunately they will not be available until I can vouch for them, Now that being said if I do order the two and after I go through both and get to use them I would be willing to let one go

Got to set up the full camp kitchen this weekend at overland expo using the mounted 5lbs propane tank and the water pump faucet in the 5 gal water jerry can. Worked awesome. I'm looking to modify the lid of the can to fit the pump better so that I can hook a hose to it and lead it to the sink area of the camp kitchen to do dishes easier.

 

I wonder if a small fish tank/pond pump would work for that? All you'd need is a steady trickle of water to do dishes outdoors. Beats pumping the can over and over.

 

It's actually a small electric pump. Runs on D batteries. I think it was @1MK and @inv3ctiv3 that reccomended it to me. It is awesome. It's just made for a 5gallon jug that you would get from Arrowhead or sparkletts. I can just hook up a tube and run it to the sink.

Since it doesn't fit on my can, I had an idea and wanted to see if you guys thought it was stupid haha.

I was thinking I could cut off the top of a 5 gallon jug and get a new cap for the jerry can. Cut that and plastic weld the top of the jug onto it. When I get to camp I can swap the caps and attach the pump. It worked great as is but wind and trucks driving by got dust in our water haha.

 

I always use my bbq because it works better than my stove lol

 

I have a collapsable coleman bbq, but i really don't want to haul that thing around. looking for something smaller that packs well.

Thinking about carrying these chainsaw scabbards. Aluminum plates lock the bar/saw into place and can be mounted in a variety of configurations. Saw can be locked in place with a short cable/lock. $73 for the 24" scabbard, lifetime warranty. Made in WA USA. Thoughts...?

3 burner camp chef upright with a griddle that covers two of the burners. 90,000 BTUs

 

I have a coleman propane stove. Lack of fire power is my biggest complaint. However, I do like that it weighs nothing. On the other hand I know I shoulda gotten a campchef.

30,000BTU's is restaurant stove power btw. That's pretty sick.

I cook for a living. Where I work I have 3 big wok burners. The biggest is 250,000 BTU's. I can boil a 25 gallon pot of water in no time.

 

I spent many years in the industry and really enjoy cooking so I figured why not. Big enough to cook for the whole crew!

 

Haha that's a bit overkill for the wife and me.
