Got my Allpro IFS skid plate in today. Can't wait to get it coated with some rattle can bed-liner and bolt it up to abuse.

Been in Port Isabel, Texas for the last couple days and took the opportunity to play in the sand. I usually fish PINS and wheel on up the full 60 miles on that side. Decided to run to the mansfield cut on the south side on south padre island and check it out. Sand was really soft tonight and some really deep ruts but far far cleaner than PINS.. I'm finding that i really dislike the 265/75/r16 toyo m/t's in the sand.. they seem to sink worse than my old set of KM2's. Otherwise had a great time and was able to run the 30 miles no sweat with the rigid bar on. Pics are of the truck on the south padre beach not far from the public access entrance #6, the jetty at the mansfield cut on the south padre side with the lightbar on and the last one is a cool shot of one of the few redfish we found today on the bay.

Nice pics. Nice truck. Mud tires are really supposed to suck in the sand. They dig instead of float. You've got the sand anchor when you need it though, right.

Milder A/T's with less void between lugs are better in the sand of that's something you're looking to get into a little more in the future.

What's with going through the U-Joints so fast? You greazing them bitches?

Maybe from all that rocking it back and forth in the sand. :boink:
