5vz-fe removal

    99 tacoma lifted 6 inches
    im putting a new engine in a 99 tacoma v6 5-speed 4x4 and i cant get the engine to seprate for the trans.

    i know it has to slide foward quite a bit to clear the trans shaft befor it will come up and out but it won't separate at all i cant get anykind of gap between the engine and trans anybody have any tips or info?

    i have tripple checked everthing all bellhousing bolts are out,motor mounts are out it just wont come apart

    Shrockworks Front/Rear Bumpers.
    the clutch should not get in the way of removal if you havent already pull the radiator out .. put a flat pry bar between bell housing and engine block and give it a nudge. the input shaft on 5spd trannys is only about 6" long

    I'm having the same problem. Many have told me that there are bolts holding my flywheel, but after turning and turning the crank I don't see anything on the fly wheel except what looks to be 2 set pins. Any help would be appreciated. Trying to get this bugger out.
