I'm selling a Detroit truetrac lsd 913A610 that was going to go on my 1997 4Runner. It's brand new in box. $300 + shipping. Also have spidertrax spacers for same 4Runner set off 4 at $100. These parts should work in Tacoma as well. Will post pics soon

FYI 4runner rear diff is the 8", tacoma is 8.4". won't work.

This will work in a 79-95 rear diff or 79-85 front diff. will also work in non-elocker FJ rear diff.

The 8.4" is tacoma sport model. The Offroad model has 8".

And the offroad has an elocker which will not accept this diff. And the elocker axle would have to be modified to fit a standard 8" diff that this carrier would fit in.

Iironic, you were the one that made the false statement. I've been screwed on the internet before by buying something that was incorrectly labelled. Just helping out the OP and whoever is interested in his truetrac so they are getting the correct part.

LOL I've got too many friends, trying to shed some. Too many commitments.

How was my statement wrong? Offroad has 8" Diff and sport has 8.4

You are correct that the ring gear is the same size (offroad vs 4runner), however this 8" diff will not fit an offroad housing without significant modifications (including using a non-elocker 3rd member carrier).

See standard 8" axle on left, and e-locker (offroad) housing on right:

Yes I know that. I didn't say anything about fitting it in there. I was correcting the statement that tacomas are 8.4" Diff. Not all of them are.
