I want to pick up a hard shell RTT for around $2000. Any suggestions?

 

Does not look too bad, but the price is kinda too good to be true.... Most likely China made...

 

There's been a lot of hate for "Made in China" floating around. I was under the impression pretty much all RTTs were made in China, including my CVT. Is that not correct?

All boils down to quality control and raw materials specified... I'm under the internet impression that both Tepui and CVT are premiere products made in China. VMMV

I like how the new replacement bags are 5x thicker and larger than the old banned bags were

 

I picked up an RTT from a family member that he had sitting around. It seems to be pretty old but it works great! At least for the meantime until I upgrade.

It's a company called Technitop. I cannot find too much info on them; I'm assuming they are no longer in the market. Pics below of the Overland Trip we just did. I'm liking the bed bars setup for this as well.

 

Contact @Cascadia Tents. They are coming out with a hardshell for 2950. Great features and a good price.

Now that you mention it, you kind of do! It needs some TLC but I'm going to keep it for awhile.

The mattress needs to be upgraded/replaced and the ladder is a little short for the rack I have it on. I don't trust it enough to put all of my weight on the extended part without the support of the ladder. Little things to fix.
