Still need to get a few things but bit the bullet on like half of it. Looking into solo motorsports 4wd spindles too.

My 2wd ones will be for sale eventually

A super quick question to anyone, I finally received my "toll evasion" violation notice because of @SocalOC Antonio (i.e. it's a $1.58), and was wondering, "weren't 'toll payments' meant to pay for construction of the road and once it is paid off, it becomes part of the 'free'way system after that?" For example, there used to be a "toll road" near the back gate near Camp Pendleton and that eventually became a "free traveling road". You would think that this toll road was paid off by now given the constant traffic, fines, uses with registered drivers, etc???!!! Just curious?

Actually, a sub-question to that, if after the road is paid off, then is it not borderline extortion for a city/state/county to force people to pay for a road that has already been paid off??? :notsure: Just makes you think the shi* the people that get elected have that kind of power?! And the governor wanted to "tax" the gas usage to pay for road maintenance blah blah blah to where there should already be "funds" in place to pay for road maintenance???!!! Just say'n people!!!

    NOTE:
Btw, how I understand it, for non-registered people, it is a "First time violation offer only." In other words, they "waived" a $57.50 penalty. So, in my humble opinion, it is no joke the next time this happens because not everyone can cough up close to $60 just because...!!! So, word of caution people!!!

Why didn't you pay your toll fee Randy? And you wonder why the 5-0 are always after you!

It's still only $1.58. I just received the notice a day or two ago. Plus, I'm just letting people know about the "one time deal" if they don't already know... meaning next time, it WILL be a $60 charge!!!:fistbump:

Besides, I got led THROUGH this one as I was just following, assuming, everything was "peachy"!!! :annoyed::frusty::boom::bananadead: So, the 5-0 was appended to me just because I was simply blindly following someone!!! Not my fault other than making an assumption!!! :anonymous::annoyed:

The other time, I'm, again, following and doing the SAME/EXACT speed limit as the other guys I was following and I'm the one that gets pulled over by OC Sheriff for a supposed violation because of my ball hitch. Funny because just YESTERDAY I saw a guy with a Tacoma (i.e. no trailer attached) and he had a ball hitch on his bumper... "blocking his plate"??? o_O:confused:

So that is how that works then??? I never knew/understood it... well, I guess I could have looked in to it, but anyways. So you use the toll road with you "device" and it just "tracks" how many times you used it, and at the end of the month they just withdraw from your account? So, what is the charge if you don't use it, say, for 2months or more? Is there a "surcharge" or whatever you would call it just for having it?

JUST WOW Danny!!! Trust me, I KNOW the commute as I did that from El Cajon to HB for almost a year before I decided that I obviously had to move closer. About 124mi, ONE WAY, and the drive time was about 1.5hrs in the morning to 2-2.5hrs going back home (NOTE: rarely did it take 2.5hrs, but you could never tell how the drive back was really going to be)!!! :goingcrazy::frusty: It took almost a year simply because I had to build up funds just to move!!!

Yeah, every time I drove, I didn't know what was worse, the time it took or the mileage that was beating on my vehicle???

Hope this call goes well and I get a new job. I'll be closer than 49 miles each way living at home. And then I'll get a new place even closer. I'd love to live somewhere where I could ride my bike to work

Brian, I did that for a little bit. But, my work schedule was never a 8-5pm job. Towards the end of the day, I would never know if I had to stay or go out on a service site call. Sometimes I would take the work van home (i.e. it was one of those extended econoline type vans) and it was a MAJOR PITA to find parking by the time I got home. SO, I just started taking my vehicle in instead. I do NOT care for driving larger vehicles. I will if I have to, but if I have a choice, which I did, I would take my own car and that is what I did. Either way, I loved biking to work in the morning, but coming home late at night on a bike was the last thing I wanted to do after a 10hr+ shift!!! o_O

    Yeah, but still bro, it's STILL a F'N 1bedroom?!

BUT, with that said, if people want to pay it then they pay it I guess? I'm just saying that when people do that, it just makes it "okay" to up the price even more because that tells the investors that people are willing to drive the prices up even that much more... if that makes any sense to you? :notsure: Or, am I wrong about my statement? :notsure:
