Just wanted to do a short trip report on my past weekend in DV. 2 Tacos, 1 1990 Bronco, 1 FJ, 1 4Runner, and 6 Jeeps.

Day 1 Started in Furnace Creek and headed straight to Titus Canyon. Titus Canyon is gorgeous and looks like something out of Jurassic Park. The trail was easy on the Taco for this trail. Pretty simple and straight forward. Unfortunately, one of the Jeeps pulling a trailer had a lead spring break on the trailer forcing the group to take a 3 hour break to fix it.

Afterwards, headed towards Ubehebe Crater for a quick stop just to take some pics and see the sites. The original plan was to head to the racetrack but the washboard roads were making it difficult for the Jeep with the trailer to travel at faster speeds. Tried making it to the racetrack but the sun was coming down and had to head to camp instead.

Day 2 had us going back to the Racetrack to check it out. Pretty cool spot with the moving rocks. Very large area. Apparently, some dumbass a year prior had driven his truck all over the racetrack and messing up some of the landscape. Ridiculous.

Afterwards, it was time to take Lippincott Pass. BOY, this was no joke. Everyone took it real slow, especially the trailer Jeep. I was amazed how well a stock TRD pro Taco handled the road. Needed a spotter for one particular part where there was exactly one line for me to take without the truck getting destroyed. A boulder ending up rolling down from the side of the cliff and hit one of the Jeeps which meant that boulder was now in the middle of the road. Took about 30 minutes to hi-lift jack the boulder out of the road. Took the group about an hour and a half to get out of Lippincott. The road was a lot smoother once we got past the switchbacks and rugged terrain.

For my first overlanding trip, this pretty much got me hooked on taking more trips. Didn't want to get into too much details but it was definitely a great trip!
