I can't be more pleased with how well the Crutchfield installation kit matches up to the factory stuff. The install was pretty easy with the wiring harnesses provided, etc. I can't get my bluetooth to sync yet and the Kenwood unit really isn't terribly intuitive on how it's sub-menu's work, but overall I am pleased.

Does the 6140 have delay issues switching between songs on an iPod because of the album art?

The 9140 has a 5-10 second delay when changing songs because the album art has to load for each song which causes the delay. If no album art is present then it switches between songs no problem.

Kenwood tech support told me that this is how it works... if I don't want to deal with the delay, I should use the USB interface for my iPod because the HU doesn't display album art through the USB.... so essentially the album art "feature" and playing video through your iPod is not an option.

Just wondering if some of the other Kenwood units have the same problem.

    A few bolts are different.
my 5120 is seamless. I'm running the ipod cable from the usb, there is no delay, and it displays my album art.

I have the 5120 in my wifes car and it works flawlessly. The newer models seem to have issues though... they've made some nice upgrades with the newer models but screwed up one of the most basic features like being able to switch songs without delay.
