very recently they have discontinued their DIY offerings. Kinda sucks, because it was a really nice way to save some $$ on awesome bumpers. They did say that they might offer group buys on DIY kits in the future FWIW

My steel DIY @RelentlessFab bumper has taken some pretty gnarly impacts and held up awesome!

I agree with this my arb on my '07 destroyed 3 deer with no damage to the bumper or truck. I'm still looking for someone with pics or a story about a deer/aluminum bumper strike.

an aluminum bumper wouldn't warrant a spring rate change correct?

Answer is always, it depends. How much additional weight is being added over stock and what is condition of the springs? Generally, if a winch isn't also added, it should be okay with just a bit of sag. Put 50 to 70 lbs of pressure down on the front bumper and you should get a pretty good idea. I think the heaviest aluminum winch bumpers are around 70 lbs. You will probably feel that while driving.

Also factor in how much weight you are removing with the original bumper. My aluminum front was around 80lbs but I probably lost 30 pounds when i removed the stock one. 50lb increase ballpark
