I hate dealerships and other aftermarket companies that ad their own badges/labels to your rig without asking. A few companies from Outlaw OR do this in my area. He buddy, I paid you for a job, if you want marketed on my truck afterwards for business it now cost you.

AMEN! Same reason I change the license plate frame as soon as I get home. I'm not going to advertise for you. I paid you money for the vehicle, we're square... unless you're going to give me some of your advertising budget, keep your name off my truck. :)

I hear ya! I tell them to remove it before I drive off the lot... when they ask why, I say because I charge $100.00 a week for advertising... they remove it quickly!

What model Fumoto plug are you using? I'm looking to order one and just want to make sure I get the correct one.
    F-CAP
    CAP FOR 3/8" NIPPLE VALVES
Cap for FN/SX series valves with 3/8" nipple

I have my 20k service coming up and wondering if the dealer will install the Fumoto plug?

What did these run you? And what are the specifics on the color and thread you got? I was just looking at those online.

    Ordered the following:

F103N: Long Nipple Valve with 12mm-1.25 Threads
LC-10: Lever Clip for F-Type Valves
F-Cap: Cover Cap for Long Nipple Valves with 3/8" Nipples
F-Hose: Clear Vinyl Tubing for Valves with 3/8" Nipples

Can get it all from here (use code ACC15 for 15% of the accessories):
    https://www.fumotooildrainvalve.com...oint-f103n-for-drain-plug-size-12mm-1-25.html

Just got dropped it off at the dealer for the service this morning. Told them to swap out the drain plug for the Fumoto valve when doing the oil change... said no problem.

I went with the long nipple version because I figured it would be easier to get to after install and work with the hose, etc.... clears TRD Pro skid plate no problem.

1167. Watched it, looks pretty easy to install and sounds like a great product. I'm sure many of us feel the over shifting is really annoying and I'd be stoked if this thing can fix that. I'll be sure to post a review.

Ok guys. I'm kind of at a loss here. Just got off the phone with the dealership who has my Taco right now. I originally dropped it off to have the speakers on the driver's side door and tweeter/dash replaced because the volume on the driver's side was noticeably lower than the passenger side. It sounded like the sound was practically ONLY coming from the passenger side when I was sitting in the driver's seat. Well they replaced the two speaker's and that still did not fix it. I was then told that they were going to compare it to another Taco on the lot with the JBL sound system and see what a "good" unit sounded like compared to mine. Not sure what all they did because they didn't give me a lot of details, but fast forward to this week; an engineer from Toyota came out to the dealership and tested my truck with a decibel meter and apparently got the same reading of 76-79 dB in both my truck AND a new one on the lot with the JBL system. He basically said that everything was fine and it was operating normally.

So yesterday I went back to the dealership to pick up my truck and they told me that I could have them bring around a brand new Taco with the JBL system so that I could hear it as well. Thankfully they did. I got in both trucks and turned the radio's on to the same XM station and made sure the sound settings/balance/face, etc., were all the same and made the volume's on both radios 20. I sat in my truck for a minute and then went over to the new truck and could IMMEDIATELY tell that there was a MASSIVE difference between mine and the new one. You could CLEARLY tell the tweeter on the driver's side dash was out putting a significant amount of sound. It sounded like it was right in your face. Like it was SUPPOSED to sound from the factory.

I went back to my truck to just verify real quick and I could tell that my tweeter was FUBAR. Well I had the Service Manager sit in the driver's seat and listen to both as well. The Service Director came out right after and he even listened to both trucks in the driver's seat and could notice a massive difference. So at this point I am fucking pissed. What the hell is the "Engineer" from Toyota doing?

I told them they have until Friday to fix my truck and they said they wouldn't even need to check if they had parts in stock because they were just going to cann them from the new truck and put them onto mine.

Ok, it is now today and I got a call back from the Service Manager and he said that they replaced EVERYTHING in the stereo system in my truck (head unit, amp, tweeter, etc.) with the parts from the new truck. It is STILL broken. So they are putting it back together for me because my wife and I leave this weekend on a nearly two week road trip and I need it back so we can start packing. The Service Manager is going to give me the number to Toyota so that we can open a case to further press them for a fix because my truck's stereo is NOT working correctly.

I'm pretty pissed right now but am also thankful that - other than the stereo issue, my truck is in otherwise good working order so our road trip shouldn't be affected. Has ANYONE else experienced this or have ANY idea what could be causing this??

So they replaced the speakers, they replaced the head unit?
So only thing left is the wiring or fuses causing power loss to the system..
If it's none of that then your doors are off? OR cause the stock system is shit anyway
Take your truck to a audio shop
Have them put in a NICE system and drop some dynamat xtreme into the doors and be done with it
A new system will have all new wiring so no old stuff would be involved at all short of power issues

I had issues with my radio, after they replaced it once from an attempted theft, it had static every now and then and just not loud and clear. Turns out Toyota has 2 JBL headunits with slightly different part numbers. They put the wrong new headunit in my truck when they were replacing the first one. They figured it out after I brought it back and replaced with the correct part number and I didn't have any issues after that. I know it's not your exact situtation, but maybe when yours was being built, they installed the wrong head unit.

Well considering I have the factory JBL system that I paid extra for and the truck doesn't even have 5k on the odo I'm not about to go drop money on a new system... maybe if I had a stock system though.

Well the head unit on the new truck was working just fine and now that one is on my truck so it should be the right part number now.

Look at this from a troubleshooting standpoint
List in your head all the parts involved in the use of a radio

Speakers, soundproofing assembly, wiring, head unit, power, fuses, and grounding, oh, and your antenna

Start checking off the list what has been replaced with known good items, if it's all been replaced then you know that your issue doesn't lay in the audio
Then you turn to the doors being an issue.. if still no resolution then either sell the damn truck or replace with better audio system

Wait what? Sell my truck?? What is this about the doors then? They replaced the speaker in the door but the door speaker seems to be working fine. It is the tweeter in the dash on the driver's side that isn't putting out the correct volume. And it does this on XM, AM/FM, and Bluetooth.

The JBL system is actually very good, I love mine, I can hear sounds through the tweeters I didn't know existed on songs!

That sucks that it's faulty, I'd expect maybe a break in the speaker cable going to the amp (behind seat), I honestly can't see how they are unable to fix it though, it really can't be that difficult.
