Well a International 4700 is a Diesel engine driven medium duty chassis. I would imagine that the 96 International probably has a straight 6 in it vs the v8 engine that international made for a super duty.

That does appear to be for an international. It looks similar to a ford 7.3 because international designed and built them for ford but there are several small differences like the screw off fuel bowl screen on the international seen in the picture and they way the inputs and output lines are.

The truck was sold a couple years ago, but I just remembered it also had T444 on the hood. With a little checking, it is a 444ci/7.3L Diesel engine. I wonder what the housing with filter is worth.

I think I have found some for around $250.00 on ebay but the International dealer they will probably be around $350.00

That looks almost exactly like the fuel-water separator/filter on my 1987 Ford F250 with the 6.9L International diesel engine. So I would guess it most likely is a fuel-water separator/filter for a diesel engine :)
