Why? I really don't know, I am a total newb when it comes to most mechanical stuff, and especially suspension.

K, I just got off the phone with 4wheel parts. The guy I ordered the parts through, no longer works there. When he looked up the OME coils, he said there was no 884 coils for a Tacoma, only for a Toyota Prado, or something like that. But we all know the 884s work with the 5100's on the Tacoma, right? I told him I wanted the 884's anyway. So when he sent me the quote, it was for 885's. I called him back the next day and said it was 884's I wanted, and when I placed my order a couple weeks later, I specifically told him 884's. Anyways, they just told me to ship them back (at thier expense), and they will ship me the 884's when they come in. So I was impressed with thier business so far. Even though they had a minor mistake, they had no problem righting it for me.

It was something do with the the fact the 885 is designed for the extra weight of a bumper but the 5100s arnt. So youre combining two different compression rates or something...it was years ago i was told this and my memory isnt that great.

Anyone interested in coffee or a trail run soon? Just ran into Duncan. He's back from Armyland on Sunday, perhaps after that????

Sunday or Monday nights are best for me for next week. Thursday my truck goes into the woods with a canoe on it, doesn't come back until the other side of the long weekend.

I saw a tan/gold/sand whatever they call that colour 3rd gen at MicMac yesterday. Lifted with wheels and tires and what looked like a cb antenna. He waived at me, wondering if they were on here.
