I was ready to pull out of my driveway and forgot something in my house so left my Truck Running and unlocked the door and went inside and left the keys on the counter like a air head!! Then pulled out of the Driveway and got a few blocks when I seen flashing on my screen keys are not in the facinaty of the vehicle!! So I turned around went back and got the keys.. so I don't think you lost them off you're lap getting out cause you're truck would of told you lol!!

One time I got really stoned and tried to start my truck (long ago, 87 Yota 4x4)by getting a lighter and lighting the ignition (not for long). Not that its related to this post, but I feel like it's as good of a time as any to mention it.

Man, that was a great hotbox session.

That's a good point, when I get out of the truck with it running and the keys in my pocket it starts beeping to let me know the key is not in range

It's between the seat and console on the floor next to some loose change and some old French fries.

Happened to me. I had put them on the windshield by the wipers they slid off as I drove to my destination. Luckily I drove back the way I had come, and found them on a turn into a parking lot. Run over several times, but still worked.

I never understood some people's fascination with push button start.
Or, more so, why is it still in car commercials.
$400 for a key? My fist car was $495 and it had a little gas in it.

Once you go keyless you can't go back. I mean c'mon you expect me to use a key like a f#&$&ng peasant. This isn't the 80s. It's nice, no messing around I leave my keys in my pocket and when I walk up to my truck by the time I grab the handle on the door the truck already unlocked itself.Hop in ,hit the button and I'm on my way.

You must be a young whippersnapper.... MY first car was $125.00... I could've bought 3 of them for the price of today's key fob... Damn, things HAVE changed, eh..??

Twilight Zone stuff. Here's another. FOB on workbench next to 21 Tacoma in garage. It starts. Wow! But now you drive 140 miles and stop for gas. Truck off, fill up but,,,,,,, no start. 100 miles from nearest Toyota dealership. What if Toyota Care subscription expired?

You laid the keys on your bedside or roof. Truck started. Key then slid off during driving.

I love my 'actual' key. (Even disregarding the functionality that comes with the KEY on the Manual Gearbox).

I've had several cars with keyless / pushbutton. - Still have one now.

I am happy-er with my key.

I rented a car with a key for my kids while theirs was in the shop after an accident. They had to go on youtube to figure out how to work the key in the ignition. I was amazed there was a video about how to start a car with a key.

I found two of those the other day (the french fries, not keys) in that exact spot.... While the fries were from the Castle, I am thankful what I found wasn't an old slider..
