If you did what he did, it would work. He didn't wobble the bits all over the place or put too much pressure. He let the bits do the work. Yeah, for a hole that size using a step bit isn't the best idea.

We apologize for the inconvenience that you have experienced while attempting to install your light bar from us. This install is not to be done without the appropriate experience. There are a few options to help you resolve the issues with the holes.
You can move the mounts down about an inch so you have a fresh spot to drill. Then fill the holes with silicone. You also may need to run spacers between the led and mounts because the truck gets wider as it goes down.
Option two would be to drill new holes in the mount so it can stay where it is. Then mark and drill new holes in the cab. You will need to drill and countersink the mount.
Option 3 would be to Have someone repair the cab, get the repair painted and then have a pro install the mounts.

Regardless of these options, we want to maintain the satisfaction of our customers. We will be sending a PM to make sure that this problem is resolved for you in a satisfactory mater.

So I read through as much as I could bear but after the golden trophy I had to move on haha.

First off dude I am bummed your having a hard time with your new truck... But these things happen. I had a fender flare come lose on the free way and I got mad, cut it off with my knife. After I got home I realized if I didn't cut it off I could have reinstalled just fine. Now I am missing a fender flare...

You can clearly see in the video that they barely even move the drill bit. Slow is always the rule of thumb with thin stuff and always a go to speed for almost anything. Having designed and installed many a roof mount I can tell you that it can be done successfully if you have the experience. In this case it didn't work. I am sure you are frustrated here and I would be too, but I wouldn't go slamming a company for providing you what you asked for and showed proper drilling in their video. I am sure you can get in touch with Cali Raised and they will find a way to try and help resolve your issues. The oversized holes have been drilled, can't get past that. But you can still work with them to move forward... Just my two cents.

And yes yout still have a couple good options. I liked @Mobtown Offroad suggestion of the JB weld, sand and paint. I would do that. If you are gunna run the roof bar, then drill the new holes before you paint so you can try and avoid the JB weld. If you want another option Cali Raised has great bumper and ditch combos. I bet if you ask they will be happy to swap you out...

Those riv nuts IMO are way too big to be on that spot. They should drop it down to #8 hardware and if worried add a third bolt.
