So I took my wife's 2010 Lexus GX460 to the dealer to get detailed last Friday. Had a coupon so figured what the heck. Upon arrival, I get a new RX350 loaner. Teaser I assume. Then the service manager asked me if I heard from them in the last week or so. I didn't. Then he proceeds to tell me that the 2k I spent last year getting an emission part fixed was going to be refunded to me by Lexus. Didn't care about why, just said thank you. They gave me a number and a copy of my invoice. Called today and sure enough, I'm about to get it back.
    So, thanks Lexus...:)

Oh, and the truck looks like it just rolled off the assembly line.

Emissions parts should be covered for a longer period of time, by law I believe.

I like to think of the Lexus as a really, really fancy Tacoma, since it shares a lot of underneath stuff.

Agreed! My wife drives a 13' Lexus RX350 and now wants a 17'. This will be our (her) third Lexus in a row. We have not had a minutes trouble out of either of the 2 so far (09' and 13') but IM(humble)O, I personally think they are an overpriced POS! My $31K 16' SR5 is light years ahead of the Lexus (again a POS). Yes, it doesn't have the heated/cooled seats, navigation, auto this-auto that (hell, even the wipers come on automatically if it starts raining), but who needs all that crap anyway. A vehicle is just a mechanical object to get you from X to Y. That said, she thinks I'm stupid  for pouring over $25K into a Harley (and she might have a point there!).

Now I know the "kool-aide drinking " kids will try to jump on this :luvya: but been with Yota since 1981

The RX we traded for the newer one had 250,000 trouble free miles on it ...just regular PM's and one timing belt change......

Like all of my Toyota/Lexus products I have no complaints and have made $$$ .....:playball:

I also have liked ALL my Toyota vehicles...ESPECIALLY MY 3D GEN TACOMA!! I have owned 1 Tercel (remember that one?), 3 Tundras, 2 Lexus, and 2 Tacomas. As I stated in Post #8, I have had zero problems with either Lexus but normally trade them around 50K. My "bitch" is that they are way too expensive for what you get (IMO) and I told my wife her RX 350 looks like a turtle going down the road. She told me to "FO!" and she hated the 12' Tundra but tolerates (driving wise) the 16' Tacoma. Keep in mind I have been married for longer than the average age of a TW member so we don't share vehicles that often. Regardless of the "diskers" on TW regarding the 3 Gen Tacomas, I am a Toyota buyer through and through. If I have to take a short time period but long mileage trip (south AL to KY) I always rent a car from Enterprise on their "weekend special" and love it when I get a Corolla which runs like a bat out of hell and gets 40+ mpg. I would love to have both a Corolla and the Tacoma but 3 vehicles for 2 people doesn't make that much sense. BTW, I have NEVER made $$$ on trading my Toyotas. I usually loose $12K-$14K when I trade the Lexus' after 4 years. But $3000-$4000 a year for driving a vehicle "ain't" that bad. BTW...my 3 Gen SR5 is my favorite of all!

I remember the old GS's had a maaaaajor problem with that. Lexus rebuilt a lot of motors for free. They stood by their cars though. :oldglory:
