What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I like em alot. I went from 265/70/16s on stock rims to the Sema wheels and the 265/70/17s my 07 never looked better.

 

4Runner Limited wheels on, next up is 4Runner heated mirrors with Up2NoGood's awesome harness.

Just ordered ome 885's and icon 3 pack aal's from wheelers off-road finally lifting the truck after 2 years

 

Crossed more stuff off the 100k mile list...

Cleaned the throttle body

Cleaned the MAF

Pulled and checked the spark plugs, still clean and gap'd at .043" after about 35k miles.

Next up, go over the steering system and flush the brakes/clutch

 

Today I used a 4 foot pipe on the handle of a 12 ton press to convince some rusted uniballs that they should let go. Then an hour later installing the new ones I sent the damn snap ring flying at the speed of light across my garage. Hopefully I can find it during daylight tomorrow.

 

Bought factory 17's in place of mh 16" black wheels with bald KO2's and thought I could stick 285's with the 3" level. Height wasnt the isssue, it was the clearance with the uca and that never crossed my mind. No offset from the factory wheel to fit. After a phone call from the tire shop I had to back it down from a 285 ridge grap to a 265 terra grap which still isn't bad. I would of had to get a spacer and woulda been without the truck for couole days and I can't have that.
So: 3" supreme suspension level on 265/70/17 nitto's looks pretty clean. What do ya think?


The squat looks a lot less in person. Rides 100x better than those damn KO2's. This is only temporary. SR8's are in my future

Look at the door plaque that tells you the tire pressure, vehicle weight, tire size and othe info on it. It probably wont tell you what brand tire it was but it will tell you what size came on the truck.

 

Ordered 5100s on OME 2884s from Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road . She is great to work with, and never even seems annoyed at answering the same questions she's answered a hundred times before

Hopefully this will level the truck out, otherwise I'll have to figure out what I want to weigh down the front with

 

I have 884's you will be nose high. Just giving you heads up.

 

remember the Ko2's have a very thick side wall so you will have to remove the mud flaps and trim on the front fender or add a leveling kit. Its a very small rub when you turn all the way

 

I'll ask ..... what type of mod is this for?

 

It makes it so that when you just flick your blinker lever, instead of having to flick it all the way to turn the blinker on like you normally would, a simple flick will make the blinker blink 3-4 times and shut off, like most new cars have now a days. Hope that made sense.

Not to mention you can do a few other things with it, with your blinker lights when you lock and unlock your truck.

 

Wife has this feature in her Benz... I love it, when she lets me drive it. Write up??

 

Sorry I was refferencing a set of coopers he bought that are oversized I was just curious as to what size
