I just ordered a Fox Factory pad, based on Dmarsh's feedback and other posts on mtbr. I'm so tired of having to haul with my old "hang a bike" bike rack, modern geometries and dropper posts make it a bit of a dinosaur.

I installed the front bed rail that I ordered along with the two RockyMounts Loball Tracks. Very simple install.

Hit me up! Im gonna go ride tomorrow and then sunday late afternoon. Fort Bill is a fun course and the top boys will be needing to get some points back so im sure they'll be letting it hang out. I have a few guys that get together too. Maybe we can all link up and get stoked on bikes and beers. :drunk:

First, none of your photos show up because you hosted them on your google account, but did not make them public. Only you can see them.

Second, yup, my single 1-up blocks the license plate completely. When not in use, I drive around with mine angled down. In the future I will get an aftermarket rear bumper with dual swingouts, and an extra 2" receiver welded on one of the swingouts, which I will then use for my 1-up rack. It'll sit above the plate.

Third, a question to all 1-up users: the silver, aluminum parts (one for each ratcheting mechanism) with the "teeth" that the ratchet grabs on to - do these pieces show any wear? After only a half-dozen times of use, my aluminum pieces are showing "teeth" that are already half-gone, so it's just a question of time before the ratcheting mechanism stops grabbing/securing.

I'm now super paranoid when using the ratcheting mechanism so as not to wear those teeth down. This seems like a poor design, and definitely something I did not expect to have to deal with. Did anyone else notice this, or come up with a solution?

I had to sell the Orbea Loki, actually sold it for more than I bought it for. It was just too big despite my best efforts to shorten the cockpit. I wasn't a huge fan of the plus sized tires either, I felt like I had less control (bouncy), though I do understand tire pressures are key with bigger tires.

Got a 2017 Diamondback Sync'r Pro, came with a Fox Performance 34 Float 130mm (Fit Grip), Shimano XT 1x11, Raceface Aeffect cranks/bb/chainring, and a dropper post for $1450 delivered. I couldn't build a similar bike for less, so I'm pretty stoked. I may swap all the components over to a FS frame next year.

How do you like the RockyMounts? Thinking of picking up one to put on the Prinsu to hold the bike on longer trips.

Check out the bike parks in your area!!! MTBparks.com followers vote on there favorites. Being from Idaho and Montana I ride Silver Mountain Bike Park located in Kellogg Idaho. I urge you to check it out if ever in the area. They have been Number 1 on this list 4 years running (well at least in there region) and for a good reason!

There is a pretty good one in Eagle Mountain here in Utah.

Just watch out for rattlesnakes! I ran over one dead center on the uphill. On a related note, Orange Seal works great on ACTUAL "snakebites".

If it wasn't for the swing-out, I'd be going for the 1up, but that swing out would be really cool since I have a topper on my truck.

Here is my current setup. L-track rails and fittings from US Cargo Control were used to mount a cut-down front bed rail which carries the odd mix of RockyMounts and Toyota fork mounts. Thru-axle for my Strong Frames Ti Gravel rig, 9mm for the Kona hardtail and Strong Frames steel cross bikes. I also added a RockyMounts tandem rack to the topper. Should be ready for the trip to MT this summer!
