I've had a Tacoma truck for 12 years but for the first time in my life I was finally able to afford a 4x4. (At 42 years old, it's been a long time coming). Picked up a 2017 trd off-road 4x4. trying to understand what my tire/rim/lift opportunities are. If I get a 3 inch lift can I keep 16 inch rims and find larger tires that still look proportioned and offer reliable performance? Lastly, do lifts, larger tires, larger rims etc., effect the functionality of the 'Crawl Control' system? Thanks in advance for any advice.

To my knowledge no effect on crawl control. I had a 3" OME lift and 285's on my old 4Runner Trail Edition and I never noticed any diminished capacity of the MTS or Crawl control.
