I am in the process of buying an 08 Access Cab 2WD, Auto, SR5, Tacoma. My question is: Is there any way I can plug my ipod into the standard radio that comes with an 08? I know that the newer 09 and 10 radios are ready for this sort of addition.

Any help will be gratefully accepted.

If that specific vehicle has the auxilery port (mounted just below the climate controls) then you just use that. If not, you better pony up and buy an aftermarket headunit or iPod interface.

Thanks for your reply and advice Mr. Stylion. I am a complete novice at car audio but if there is an auxiliary port below the climate controls wouldn't that simply be a 12v supply source and not connected to the radio? I looked up ipod interfaces and they seem to plug into the CD changer port, which would be fine with me as that is sort of the object of the exercise. One doesn't need the CD slot if an ipod is available. Anyway, after I get the truck I may very well be back onto you for further help. Thank you again.
